Frequently Asked Questions

What are cannabis, marijuana, hemp, THC, CBD and CBG?

Cannabis is a plant that is part of the Cannabaceae family and has many different species that are cultivated worldwide. Specific species of Cannabis are grown for medicinal, recreational or industrial use. Cannabinoids are compounds found in the cannabis plant. There have been over 100 cannabinoids identified. The most widely known cannabinoids are THC and CBD. Hemp is a cannabis plant with very low THC and high amounts of CBD. Marijuana is a cannabis plant with high amounts of THC and low amounts of CBD.

THC is an acronym for Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol. It is the psychoactive substance in marijuana that gives people a “high”. Other nicknames for it are ‘weed’, ‘mary jane’ and ‘pot’

CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol. It contains very small amounts to no THC at all. It is non-intoxicating.

CBG is an acronym for Cannabigerol. It is similar to CBD and non-intoxicating

What is the difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum and isolate CBD?

The difference between the three are the parts of the cannabis plant they contain.

Full Spectrum: It contains all beneficial compounds naturally found in the plant - cannabinoids (less than 0.3% of THC), terpenes and flavonoids. Research suggests that CBD’s therapeutic effects are stronger when all the beneficial compounds are present. This is known as the ‘Entourage Effect’

Isolate: Has been completely stripped and most of the compounds removed except for the CBD. It contains no THC, terpenes or flavonoids

Broad Spectrum: Does contain most of the compounds except for the THC. Removal of the THC may decrease some of the therapeutic effects.

What is Delta 8?

Delta 8 is a variant of Delta 9 THC having one less bond between atoms. It occurs in very low concentrations and can have psychoactive effects.

Is CBD safe?

CBD seems to be well tolerated by most

Consult with a physician before use if you have a serious medical condition or use prescription medications because CBD, like other dietary supplements, can interfere with other medications you may be taking. Be aware that other drugs can increase/decrease CBD concentrations.

Is CBD addictive?

No. CBD is non-intoxicating and non-psychoactive.

Can CBD get you high?

No it can’t! CBD is non-intoxicating and non-psychoactive. Our CBD contains less than 0.3% THC so, you get the benefits without the high.

Does CBD have any side effects?

CBD has a relaxant effect on the body. The most common side effect is sleepiness.

Can I use CBD while pregnant or breastfeeding?

The FDA strongly advises against the use of Cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and marijuana in any form during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Can CBD show up on a drug test?

Rarely but possibly. Our full spectrum products contain a very low dose of THC, less than 0.3% If you are consuming large amounts of full-spectrum CBD, over time the THC metabolites can build up in the body and may trigger a false positive drug test.

Is CBD from the gas station, grocery store or online retailers like Amazon good to use?

No. Most of the products from those sources contain no CBD. Products from these sources may not be labeled properly and have not undergone quality testing to ensure that there are no harmful chemicals present.

How do I store CBD products?

CBD products should be stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
